Centre Approves Rs 2,500 Crore For Kerala Flood Relief, Wants Rs 290 Crore Back For Rescue Ops

The relief amount sanctioned by the Centre is in addition to the Rs 600 crore it had granted as interim relief earlier. It, however, falls far short of the Rs 4,800 crore sought by the Pinarayi Vijayan government.
